Honda senior executive Yasuhide Mizuno will be appointed as the CEO of the new joint venture, while Izumi Kawanishi, Executive Vice President of Sony, will serve as the Chief Operating Officer. This strong alliance model will promote the development of electric vehicles towards a more intelligent and networked direction.

These models will adopt “ultra-thin battery packs” and newly developed compact electronic driveshafts to achieve more efficient energy utilization and better driving performance. Meanwhile, all 0 series models will have a range of over 300 miles (480 kilometers), providing consumers with a more convenient travel experience.
For Sony, this cooperation will not only help expand its business territory in the automotive field, but also promote the further development and application of its in car electronic products, sensors, radar and other technologies. For Honda, Sony’s addition undoubtedly injects new vitality into the intelligence and networking of its electric vehicles, helping to enhance the market competitiveness of its products.
